For this project, I shot a single photo for every waking hour over the course of 48 hours. Through this project, I was able to both experience photography and reflect on my day. I am not someone who always carries my camera with me wherever I go, even though I probably should. I prefer to go on specific shoots, putting myself into a photography mood when I am ready to actively look for inspiration and good opportunities for shooting. This project forced me to do this every hour no matter where I was or what I was doing for as long as I was awake.
I found that it was interesting at first, both the concept and the practice. It was fun to document my life and find some artistic ways of portraying my relatively boring existence (especially over the weekend). After awhile, however, I began to notice that this need to take a picture every hour was becoming somewhat cumbersome. I would constantly be looking at my watch to ensure that I had not gone over the hour, but most times went over anyway. I also found that, because I did not do much, my shots were, at times, rather boring. While it gave me an opportunity to use my macro lens and make art out of something I would experience every day and take for granted.
Over the course of this project, I learned that there can be beauty and art in those things that I take for granted around me and my daily routine, but also that sticking to a strict photography regime can be annoying at times, and is not really the style for me.
I like how close up your shots are, they really capture lots of little detail I would not have focused on otherwise.

You did a great job at getting close up to everyday objects to see details that we often miss.

I like how it does not seem that you planned a lot of your images and just went on instinct regarding the subject matter.

I like how some of your captions are so simple, but others you really need to look at the picture.
